Removal of Drop Boxes Effective Monday, January 8, 2024
On Monday, January 8, 2024, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office will remove prescription drop boxes from Baptist Health Floyd, the Floyd County Health Department, Indiana University Southeast, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office front lobby, and the Floyd County Police Substation.
The following website indicates that CVS Pharmacy (1950 State St., New Albany), Walgreens (2015 State St., New Albany), and Meijer (4222 Charlestown Rd., New Albany) all provide these drop boxes for disposal. This unfortunate change is necessary due to changes in how we dispose of the contents of these boxes.
